Tafod (Nos Da)

Three leading lights of the British Roots/ Americana/ Acoustic type scene come together in Tafod:

WHISTLING BISCUITS: Cardiffs own kings of the wild frontier (well, um, Roath). The 6 piece combine laid back reflective moments with soaring harmonies and occasionally channel some heavy Sabbath type grooves just in case you thought they were pussy.

WILLE AND THE BANDITS: Pioneers of the South Wests Roots- Rock scene, fusing elements of blues, folk, bluegrass, reggae and more. They have toured relentlesly over the last year across England and Europe, playing 15 festivals last summer, sharing the stage with the likes of Donavan Frankenreiter, The Levellers and Seth Lakeman and recorded their debut album: First time in Cardiff.

HIP ROUTE::A solo acoutic set from Hip Route main man Jim- armed with a variety of guitars, lap slide, ukes, percussion and maybe a kazzoo he'll be bringing his gorgeous take on acoustic blues and folk.

Then afterwards the bands will show off their drinking prowess while benelovent dictator of the CSP Owen G takes to the decks til the early hours.

Doors 8:30 Entry £4 advance//£5 on the door

Tickets on sale from the bar at Nos Da (above Tafod) and from Owen G or Owen B(Whistling Biscuits)

DOGSHOW:"Dogshow are the brothers Crombie on drum kit and synthesizers, augmented by their Russian counterpart Krutikov designing lightshows and visuals. Having travelled the land far and wide in their rusty transit van, Dogshow settled in a derelict nightclub in Liverpool. With an exciting new playground offering the freedom to pick and mix history, genres, people, inventions, and ideas Dogshow hope to find the new sound. For now more smoke, more lighting, more intensity, and more adventures in the techno wagon is the plan. Perhaps leading to world domination or a nuclear meltdown." "Dogshow do the live electro-techno thing like a gothic metal band taking an acid-induced stroll down a victorian seaside promenade. They'll ruin your mind, but in a good way" Time Out London.

SLAMFISH: Breaks/Electro/Acid/House producer and laptop mash-up king- massive dancefloor grooves.

EVORA: DJ and producer

OLI-L: Has rocked Buffalo, Q bar and Tafod over the last year, and will do it again.
